Qlikview Notes: Using the Google Chart API inside Qlikview

I recently had a requirement to create a heat map of the US States and set about exploring if there was an easier way than creating a QV scatter plot mapped over an image.

I found the Google Chart API. With some help from the QlikCommunity forum, I got a fairly pleasing result.

Use the YouTube API with PHP

The YouTube video sharing site allows Web application developers to access public content through its REST-based developer API. The SimpleXML extension in PHP is ideal for processing the XML feeds generated by this API and using them to build customized PHP applications.   To create a contact group:

  1. Click Contacts along the left side of any page.
  2. Click the New Group button in the top-left corner of the Contact Manager.
  3. Enter the name of the group.
  4. Click OK.

  To add contacts to a contact group:

  1. Select the contacts in the Contacts list.
  2. Open the Groups drop-down menu.
  3. Under Add to…, select the group you’d like to add the contact to, or select New group to create a new group.

  or

  1. Select the group you’d like to add to.
  2. Enter the contact’s name or email address in the Add this to group box at the bottom of the contact list.
